The Role
We are seeking an experienced Python Developer who is not just a coder, but a craftsman of the language. You will work at the intersection of backend engineering and Artificial Intelligence, building the core infrastructure that powers our multi-channel AI agents.
This is a Hybrid role. You will have the flexibility to work from home but will be required to collaborate in-person at our Trivandrum office on scheduled days or as project needs arise. We believe in the power of deep work at home and the synergy of whiteboarding sessions in the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Core Development: Architect and build scalable, high-performance backend microservices using Python (FastAPI/Django) that power our real-time voice and chat agents.
- AI Integration: Work closely with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models) and frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex to orchestrate complex agent behaviors.
- System Optimization: Optimize asynchronous tasks and concurrency to ensure our AI agents handle thousands of simultaneous conversations with low latency (using asyncio, Celery, or Redis).
- Data Engineering: Design and manage integrations with Vector Databases (Pinecone, Milvus, or Qdrant) for RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines.
- Code Quality: Enforce strict coding standards using type hinting (Pydantic), rigorous testing (Pytest), and clean architecture principles.
- Hybrid Collaboration: Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and architectural discussions both virtually and in-person.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Python development.
- Python Mastery: You don't just write scripts; you understand the language internals. You must be exceptionally strong in:
- Advanced Concepts: Decorators, Generators, Context Managers, and Metaprogramming.
- Concurrency: Deep understanding of asyncio, Threading vs. Multiprocessing, and the Global Interpreter Lock (GIL).
- Data Structures: Knowing exactly when to use a Set vs. a List or a Deque for performance.
- Frameworks: Production-grade experience with FastAPI (preferred) or Flask/Django.
- AI/ML Familiarity: Experience working with LLM APIs, Prompt Engineering, or Vector Databases is a massive plus.
- Database Skills: Strong grasp of SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.
